The Battle for Brooklyn will be contested on Saturday 5 December live on BoxNation, Peter Quillin will be aiming for his second World Title when he challenges for Daniel Jacobs’ WBA World Middleweight Title.

‘Kid Chocolate’ vacated his WBO version of the World Title in early 2014 just before an imminent deadline which would have seen the Champion stripped after failing to agree a deal with mandatory challenger Matt Korobov.

Quillin then failed to make weight meaning the Title wasn’t up for grabs when he drew with Andy Lee after an entertaining twelve rounds in April where both men touched down.

The 32 year old year captured his first World Title after sensationally dropping Hassan N'Dam six times on route to a wide points decision back in October 2012 at the scene of next Saturday’s local dust up, The Barclays Center.

Speaking at the recent media day promoting the big fight, Quillin stated "This has been one of the most inspirational camps that I've had in my career. I'm around great people. I'm in the best shape of my life and as humble as possible.”

Kid Chocolate continued “We're going into this fight with nothing but confidence. I'm mentally and spiritually strong. I've been in 33 of these fights in my career. Every one of those guys has said they're going to beat me but no one has. I've been in with a lot of different guys and I'm yet to be beat.”

Jacobs picked up the vacant title last August against Jarrod Fletcher, who BoxNation fans will recall Billy Joe Saunders taking apart in just two rounds.

Unlike the unbeaten Quillin, Jacobs has previously tasted defeat when Dmitry Pirog knocked out the 6 footer back in July 2010.

Fans and pundits alike felt Jacobs crumbled under the pressure of his first World Title fight but since then, he’s put together ten wins on the spin earning him the WBA crown.

Victory for either man could set up potential gargantuan fights in 2016 with the likes of both previously mentioned Lee and Saunders plus Gennady Golovkin or Canelo Alvarez.
