IBF World Bantamweight Champion Randy Caballero is ready to return to the ring after a year out through injury when he squares up with Lee Haskins this Saturday night.

‘El Matador’ makes the first defence of his Title on the big Cotto v Canelo show under the glamour lights of the famous Las Vegas strip.

“I’m really excited to put on a performance in front of my fans, friends and family on such a big card.”

A serious ankle injury forced the extended layoff, but the 25 year believes he’s in the shape of his life.

“Training camp has gone well. I know everyone says that but this one trust me, I’m a whole different person. My body feels so energetic,” revealed Caballero who was speaking to TopClass Boxing.

Bristol’s Lee Haskins, who picked up the IBF interim title in sensational style back in June, is a worthy challenger.

“He’s a tough guy, he’s gonna come forward. He’s my mandatory for a reason. We know what he brings to the table,” said the defending Champion.

Unbeaten Caballero refused to be drawn into too much speculation about future unification fights further down the line but remained confident, “I’m going to take this guy out and look spectacular.”

Dismissing the influence of the English fans, the West Coast native feels he’s got valuable experience to counter the Bristol travelling contingent.

“I fought in Monte Carlo, Stuart Hall had all his fans there. It’ll be fine. I have a big fanbase in the UK, thank you for the support. My fan base got bigger after the Hall win.”
