Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr has expressed his interest in fighting in the U.K before he retires.
Speaking on Bunce’s Boxing Hour last week on BoxNation, the former multiple weight World Champion wished Ovill McKenzie the best for his IBF World Title challenge this Friday.
“I’m really after the Cruiserweight title. If Ovill wins, it’s a big possibility we can meet,” revealed Jones Jr.
“You have to admire him taking the fight at short notice, but he can do it”.
Not shy when mentioning potential other fights that interest the 46 year old, Enzo Maccarinelli’s name is also at the forefront of Jones’ list.
Three potential dates at the end of this year have been ear marked for Jones’ fourth outing of 2015, which is likely to be in Russia.
“I love the fans here, I have a lot of friends in the U.K. I want to fight here before I retire”.
