‘Showtime’ Shawn Porter revealed exclusively to BoxNation’s Steve Lillis, talks are still on-going over a proposed bout with Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman.
Speaking in Las Vegas, during the Cotto v Canelo fight week, Porter confirmed January is a likely month for the fight.
“That’s what I’ve been told, moved out of December to January. We’re still in camp gearing up for Keith Thurman.”
The former IBF World Champion will be hoping to land his second World Title against the WBA regular Champion, Thurman.
“He’s got some holes, we’ve taken a good look at him. My coaches have absolutely dissected him months ago, we’ll be more than ready for this fight.”
When quizzed about a potential fight with Amir Khan, the 28 year old was open to meeting further down the line.
“Yes! It does interest me because he’s one of the top fighters in my division.”
