Bradley Skeete has been installed as the mandatory challenger for the British Welterweight Title currently held by Sam Eggington.
The 28 year old made it no secret his desire to fight for the British in 2016 and took to his Twitter account to express his delight at the recent news.
Since narrowly losing to Frankie Gavin back on the huge ‘Bad Blood’ show in November 2014, Skeete has showed signs of improvement during his follow up four victories in succession.
The WBO European Welterweight Champion has made three successful defences of his title and currently finds himself #8 in the World rankings with some illustrious company but is fully focused on his upcoming British title fight.
Eggington has been a rising star on the domestic scene but was dropped in his recent fight against Dale Evans.
Purse bids have been called for this week with the fight ordered to take place before the end of April.
