With just over a week until the November 11th grudge rematch between Liam Smith and Liam Williams, the pair are still engaging in trash talk.
Smith has maintained since the controversial ending to their first bout, which he won, that the Welshman quit. Williams however, has blamed the bad cut for the reason he was pulled out of their bout in the ninth round.
Speaking to Boxing News, Williams didn’t hold back on what he thought were dirty tactics from the Liverpudlian in their first meeting.
Stating that he would be ready this time around in Newcastle, the 25-year-old warned: “If Liam Smith wants to make the rematch nasty, we’ll make it nasty!”
😂😂stop talking bollocks, the last got nasty an u cried in the corner an got pulled out. https://t.co/TmtSBCikRS— Liam Smith (@LiamBeefySmith) November 1, 2017
Responding on Twitter, the former WBO World Champion told his rival to “stop talking b*llocks, the last [time it] got nasty you cried in the corner and got pulled out!”
