Unbeaten Super-Middleweight banger Jamie Cox has issued a direct challenge to Chris Eubank Jr.
Much was made of Eubank’s choice of opponent Renold Quinlan, who was stopped on his feet in the tenth round of their contest on Saturday night, with Cox insisting it’s time for Jr to take on a real test.
The Swindon southpaw took to Twitter in a bid to get his long term target Eubank into the ring once more.
You want a fight @ChrisEubankJr I'm 21-0 let's go. No novice here 👊— Jamie Cox (@JamieCoxPro) February 5, 2017
Cox has reiterated his desire to fight Eubank Jr, previously stating: “I’m ready to go when they want it but the problem is, they don’t want the problem!”
Promoter Frank Warren made an offer for Team Eubank to fight Cox back in 2015 but never got a response.
It’s been well documented the 30 year old, who has previously held the Commonwealth and WBO European Titles, is difficult to match given his explosive style.
Whether Eubank Jr pursues the 168 or 160 lbs division, Cox is ready and waiting to go.
