World Title challenger Isaac Chilemba believes he is being overlooked ahead of his daunting date with the big punching Sergey Kovalev.
Speaking with South African newspaper Sowetan, the 29 year old slammed team Kovalev insisting: "Clearly they see me as a stepping stone and that's total disrespect."
Kovalev has a future fight with Andre Ward pencilled in for November which Chilemba is aiming to use as more fuel to cause an upset.
"They are looking past me when we have not fought which means they see me as just a sparring partner. I am now going out there with more reason to beat this guy."
U.K fans will remember Chilemba from his two fights with Tony Bellew back in 2013 with the Malawi born, South African native looking to capture his first World Title in Russia: "I am going to teach him some manners and in the process make history by becoming the first African fighter to win three titles in one night.”
