Part three of BoxNation’s Middleweight showcase was ticked off on Saturday night when Daniel Jacobs sensationally stopped Peter Quillin in the first round of their WBA World Middleweight Title fight.

Taking local bragging rights alongside the third defence of his World Title, Jacobs has put his name to the forefront of potential unification fights for 2016.

BoxNation subscribers have been treated to the Gennady Golovkin v David Lemieux and Miguel Cotto v Canelo Alvarez Middleweight mega fights in recent months, with the much anticipated Andy Lee v Billy Joe Saunders clash still to come on Saturday 19 December.

The WBC have recently granted an extension on talks between Golovkin and Canelo’s mandated fight which could hold the key to next year’s 160 lbs big fights.

It’s arguably the most intriguing of divisions on the World stage, all eyes now switch to the WBO Middleweight Title fight Lee v Saunders.
