Fresh from earning a hard fought points decision victory over Lewis Taylor back on March 12’s big show in Liverpool, Tommy Langford has leapfrogged up the WBO World Rankings.

The unbeaten Baggie finds himself sitting pretty in second place in the WBO’s order of merit at 160 lbs.

Victory over Taylor, which saw Langford collect the vacant Commonwealth crown, was the first time the 26 year old has gone the twelve round distance and is certainly another boxed ticked.

A future fight with World Champion Billy Joe Saunders will be Langford’s ultimate prize and this ranking increment may lead to a final eliminator for the right to fight the unbeaten Champion.

Avtandil Khurtsidze, who holds the WBO International Middleweight Title, sits at the top of the tree and will be keen to test his skillset on the World scene.

Meanwhile, fellow Brit Chris Eubank Jr has re-entered the WBO’s World Rankings at #12.
