*Note: WBC title on the line for Canelo Alvarez only, after Cotto allegedly failed to pay a WBC sanctioning fee.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Canelo Alvarez turning professional, promoters Golden Boy today shared a video of the flame-haired Mexican’s thunderous punching power.

The video, clipped together with highlights from Canelo's demolition job in May over American James Kirkland, demonstrates the tremendous power that the 25 year old box office star possesses.

On that night, Canelo confirmed his position as a pay per view star and major ticket shifter, with Texas’ Minute Maid Park packed out with over 30,000 fans and an average of 2.1million viewers on HBO in the States.

Reigning and defending WBC World Middleweight Champion Miguel Cotto is the man next line in to face Canelo’s power, which he’ll do as he attempts to defend his title on November 21, exclusively live on BoxNation.

British fight fans are guaranteed a fight of the year contender on that Mandalay Bay night, as the tireless Cotto, 35, has promised “total victory” over his rival, while Canelo has said he’ll explode on fight night when he faces the Puerto Rican great.
