Reigning and defending WBO World Super-Welterweight Champion Liam Smith recently visited Dallas, Texas, home of his September Title defence against Canelo Alvarez, to meet some early media commitments.
Without question, the popular and unbeaten Liverpudlian is bearing down on the biggest fight of his career. An 80,000 capacity AT&T Stadium in Dallas, the usual home of NFL franchise the Dallas Cowboys, will play host to one of the most notable fights of 2016.
In this six-minute long documentary, we follow Liam "Beefy" Smith as he tours Dallas, including his fantastic reaction when he first lays eyes on the magnificent AT&T Stadium. We also follow Smith as he meets Oscar De La Hoya, gives interview after interview, and starts growing accustomed to the life of a superstar boxer.
The eyes of the World will be on Canelo v Smith live in September, on Mexican Independence weekend, when the Liverpool ace will travel behind enemy lines and into an unreal atmosphere as he defends his World Title on the biggest of stages.
"I haven't spoke to all the media before, so that's make me kinda nervous," said a humble Smith before addressing the sort of huge media crowd only a super-fight attracts.
"It puts fire in my belly that I'm gonna walk out in front of 50, 60,000 or whatever there's going to be. I'm going to enjoy every minute of it."
